Basic Education
Literacy Services
Assisting individuals or employers to build strong foundation in
the Essential Skills needed for successful employability and day
to day living. Literacy services provide learning opportunities
for adults who wish to improve living and working conditions
through enhanced literacy, math and / or language skills.
University
Post secondary opportunities delivered off campus at Parkland
Regional College. Courses offered from the two Saskatchewan
Universities. The largest off campus University program in the
province.
Business / Community Training
Ensures employee skills are up to date to meet the challenges
and demands of an every changing marketplace. Producing skilled
workers, providing specialized and customized training, building
literacy, employability and technological skills, supporting
ongoing learning and skills acqusition in the workplace and
supporting the mobility of learners into new careers.
Career & Student Support Services
Assistance with Career and Training planning. Services provided
include: Confidential and individualized education and career
development counselling, assistance with decisions regarding
trainng to meet the needs of the labour market, information on
job search and employment opportunities, career, psycho
educational and academic assessments, support for students /
clients with learning difficulties, assistance with personal
counselling and appropriate referrals, Student loan and
Provincial Training Allowance counselling services for College
students, customized workshops tomeet your individual or
organizational development needs.
Pre-apprenticeship Training
Responding to the need for skilled workers, the Pre-
Apprenticeship Training program will place unemployed
individuals with a desire to pursue a career in the trades, with
a prospective employer.
Computer Training
A variety of training opportunities in a number of different
software applications and related topics. Training packages can
be customized to meet your specific needs. Access computer
training at your convenience with a number of onine training
options.
Technical Skills Training
Offering full and part-time training in areas of study such as:
Business and Technology, Health, Hospitality, Human Services,
Trades, Equipment Operation. Parkland Regional College works
closely with employers to design programs that meet industry
needs.
