Parenteau's Gourmet Foods is an Aboriginal, privately owned Saskatchewan company, founded by Rodney Parenteau and Colleen Parenteau, which began operation in 1991.

In 1994, Parenteau's Gourmet Foods became one of five finalists in the New Saskatchewan Product Category at the 1994 ABEX Awards held in Regina. That same year the company successfully registered on the Internet, which has proven to be a great benefit to the company. As well, the company registered as a business in the Entrepreneur Gift Basket Guide, which is distributed throughout North American. In 1997 the company took part in the production of two television programs. The first is 'Home Sense' a guide for entrepreneurs, which appeared on cable, and was produced by Tri-Media Productions of Saskatoon. The second show, being 'The Great Canadian Food Show', which was produced by Sound Venture Productions of Ottawa. The show made its first debut in the summer of 1998and has been televised on several occasions. In the fall of 2000, the company participated in the production of a television show entitled 'Careers TV', which aired on Access Television - The Education Station out of Edmonton, Alberta.

The company is currently a member of the Saskatchewan Food Processors Association, SREDA, Tourism Saskatoon, Tourism Regina, Tourism Saskatchewan, Canadian Western Agribition Association and Saskatchewan Craft Council.

The company produces a variety of high-end gourmet food products. Our fine line of products begin with a variety of flavoured fruit Belgian chocolates, which include Saskatoon Berry, Blueberry, Chokecherry and Raspberry Chocolates. Temptation is made with a line of honey blended products made with fruit, which include, Saskatoon Berry, Blueberry, Chokecherry, Raspberry, as well as Cinnamon, Belgian Chocolate, Hot Chili and a Hawaiian blend. To compliment the honey products we have a fine line of jam products, which also includes no sugar added products. These of course include Saskatoon Berry, Blueberry, and Prairie Berry jam, as well as Saskatoon Berry Wine Jelly. Our no sugar added products include Saskatoon Berry, Blueberry and a combination of Saskatoon and Raspberry jam type spreads. To savour the taste of our products we also have a available a fine line of tea products, which include, Saskatoon Berry, Blueberry, Merry Berry and Prairie Berry tea. For those who like something a little different we also have no sugar added hot and cold cider products, which include Saskatoon Berry, Apple and Raspberry. We also have a variety of syrup products as well as Wheat Brittle. We offer a variety of gift packaging which are made to suit the customers need.

As in any business diversification is an important factor in survival. In 1999 our company diversified into the beverage industry by introducing two new beverages. These beverages are carbonated and presented in an elite fashion - 'Champagne style'. They are Saskatoon Berry and Raspberry Champagne style (soft cider). We have captured the true flavour of Saskatoon berry and raspberry in these beverages. The launch of the new products was well received by the consumer and an instant success.
