Graseby Andersen's Auto5 (tm) Stack Sampler
Pacwill Environmental is a dynamic, customer oriented company which offers Graseby Environmental Equipment including the product lines
of Nutech, Andersen, GMW, and SPECAC equipment for Source Sampling, Ambient Sampling, Cascade Impactors, Analytical Systems, and
Infrared Spectroscopy.
Graseby Andersen's Auto5 (TM) represents a major breakthrough in source sampling technology. The Auto5 measures and records source
temperatures and pressures, calculates sampling traverses, and automatically adjusts the isokinetic sample rate. Field data recording and
report generation have never been easier.
Designed for operator convenience, the Auto5 features a durable, yet lightweight Controller with a dedicated microprocessor for quick, logical
programming displays. The microprocessor stores all operating measurements, controls set parameters, and completes required calculations with precision and reliability.
When sampling is complete, all parameters, measurements and calculated isokinetic conditions can be transferred to a built-in floppy disk.
This disk is used in the office or laboratory to generate final reports, utilizing the Auto5 PC Software Package. This program can also be used to precalculate and preload sampling parameters into the Controller before the actual field test begins.
The Auto5 System contains five main components: Probe, modularly constructed Filter (Hot) Box and Cold Box assembly, Monorail suspension system, Sample Line, and Controller. All components are completely grounded and operate at 48 volts DC with either 115 or 230 volts AC input.
Features include: Automatically adjusts for isokinetic sample rate; Calculates nozzle size, plus number and location of sample points; Automatically records flow rates, temperatures, and pressures; Enables quick verification of isokinetic sample rate and valid test results; Eliminates errors caused by manual calculations; Maintains constant sample flow rate for EPA gas sampling methodology and long-term sampling requirements; Lightweight and easy to operate; Isolated 48 volt DC operation assures operator safety; RS232 port interfaces to an optional printer for on-the-stack hard copy results; Floppy disk interface allows pre- and post-test data management.
Graseby Gmw's Total Suspended Particulate (tsp) Sampling System
Pacwill Environmental is a dynamic, customer oriented company which offers Graseby Environmental Equipment including the product lines of Nutech, Andersen, GMW, and SPECAC equipment for Source Sampling, Ambient Sampling, Cascade Impactors, Analytical Systems, and Infrared Spectroscopy.
Graseby GMW's TSP Mass Flow Controlled High Volume Samplers feature accurate collection of total suspended particulates meeting EPA specifications. Air flow through the system is maintained at a constant rate by an electronic probe which automatically adjusts the speed of the blower/motor to correct for variations in line voltage temperature, pressure, and filter loading.
Adjustable over a range from 20CFM to 60CFM, the air flow is controlled at a constant temperature of 25C and 760mm Hg pressure within plus or minus 1CFM. By maintaining an exact air flow rate through the sampler, the particulate concentration is extremely accurate.
The high volume air sampler incorporates a pressure recorder or a well-type manometer for flow verification. The elapsed time indicator is calibrated in hours, tenths, and hundredths. A wide variety of electronic and mechanical timers are available along with the Flow Manager.
Features include: Adjustable flow range: 20-60 CFM; All weather, outdoor shelter constructed of anodized aluminum; High speed motor designed for 24-hour continuous sampling; Variety of recording devices available; Optional brushless blower motor available; Electronic Flow Manager available for data logging and sampler field data.
Graseby GMW's Volumetric Flow Controlled Air Sampling Systems is another option for this type of particulate sampling. The GMW Volumetric Flow Controller (VFC) is a critical flow venturi device used to control gas flow. When applied to a high volume air sampler, this flow control principle incorporates a smooth-wall venture orifice that gradually opens to a recovery section. Vacuum is provided by a blower/motor downstream of the venturi. Over 95% of the energy lost in differential pressures across the restricting orifice is recovered in this design.
Flow control is accomplished by restricting and thus accelerating the air flow through the venturi. At a point in the flow stream, air velocity will equal acoustic velocity, or speed of sound, and critical flow will be achieved. As long as downstream changes are small, all conditions at the venturi are determined by upstream conditions.
Features include: Same as those listed above for Mass Flow TSP Samplers.
A further model available is the TSP Manual Flow Air Sampler which is also designed for continuous operation in an all weather environment and is a complete monitoring station for the collection of total suspended particulate matter with precise measurement capability. All instruments and components are mounted within the anodized aluminum shelter for protection. The hinged roof facilitates filter media exchange. The blower/motor is a brush type motor with a fixed orifice on the discharge end. Air flow is recorded by the continuous flow recorder which provides a permanent record of every sample. The flow selector/elapsed time indicator will adjust flow rates and indicate total elapsed time in hours, tenths, hundredths, and is included as standard equipment.
Graseby Nutech's 3550a Automated Cryogenic Concentration System
