Established in 1996, Oralys Inc. is a Montreal-based company specializing in the development of software for individuals who have lost the ability to communicate or who have speech impediments. At Oralys, our mission is to enable these individuals to come out of isolation through our computer solutions. Oralys applications break the silence barrier, enabling all users to express themselves and function normally in society through better communication. Our innovative applications use ideograms as the basis for constructing sentences, which allow all individualsregardless of disabilityto compose and express sentences. In addition, Oralys is developing educational materials to teach users how to communicate and use these applications.

Oralys holds the sole intellectual property rights to its technology, the copyrights of which are registered in Canada for all software developed.

  The Personalization Tool enables professionals, specialists and users to add, modify or delete ideograms and associated text; modify the standard Oralys ideogram classification and semantic tree based on the users needs or customize applications for several users. Digital photos of friends and family or personal items can also be added. In addition, when a user already knows other ideograms, they can replace those supplied by Oralys. The personalization Tool allow the professionnal to adapt the School Communicator or the Communicator so it can evolve with the user.
