Occu-Med provides employers with on-site testing, medical
surveillance and consulting & educational services which enable
them to:
- meet requirements under Ontario workplace health & safety
legislation.
- reduce the costs associated with employee injuries including
downtime, absenteeism and retraining.
- reduce the employer premiums and significant penalties assessed
by the WSIB for employee injuries.
- reallocate employees to job functions that will not aggravate
existing or emerging health problems.
- educate employees on preventative measures such as hearing
protection and stretching programs.
Occu-Med services primarily industrial clients operating
throughout Southern Ontario and has developed a client list of
over 200 clients. The company also provides Isocyanate testing
programs to autobody shops & dealerships as its clients.

The company was one of the first to introduce MOBILE units to
provide on-site health testing to industrial clients throughout
Southwestern Ontario. These units contain hearing booths and
examining rooms which can be used to conduct medical and
ergonomic assessments, audiometric testing, vision and pulmonary
function tests. An in-office clinic has also been used to test
groups of clilent employees.

The company now provides a wide range of occupational health &
safety services, which generally fall into 3 categories:
1. Assessments of Employees (medicals, hearing/vision tests,
drug testing, etc.)
2. Assessments of Workplaces (air quality, noise surveys and
other safety assessments)
3. Training and Education (WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, and seminars
packaged with employee assessments)
