Nu-Way Kitchens Ltd. was established in 1968 and is currently one of the largest cabinet manufacturers in Eastern Canada. The company opeerates from modern premises comprising 25, 000 sq. ft. of office and plant space, and is situated just outside of St. John's, the capital city of Newfoundland. The second generation company is owned and operated by Mr. Harvey Short (Jr.) who is complemented with a highly trained technical and clerical staff of 60. Nu-Way's traditional market was comprised within the Eastern portion of Newfoundland. In recent years, Mr. Short developed a dealer network and today is present in all major markets throughout Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the Atlantic Canadian Provinces. Nu-Way utilizes the latest in cabinet machine technology involving total dowel construction to produce a high quality cabinet for its domestic and export markets. Nu-Way features the 32 mm system that is fairly standard in today's cabinet industry. This system is offered in their two cabinet styles, framed and frameless cabinets. Nu-way manufactures all of its door requirements and is also the major supplier to smaller cabinet makers and building supply dealers throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This capability provides its customers with flexibilty when considering different wood species preferred in today's kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Nu-way is presently shipping product to the New England States through a represented dealer network and is seeking further markets on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.
