Nova Pb Inc. is located in a south shore suburb of Montreal and is Canada's largest integrated lead recycling facility. " Nova Pb" brand lead is a London Metal Exchange approved and traded brand, sold through-out the international market place.

The plant and facilities are employee owned and operated. The initial capital cost of the project was over $40 million (CND), however the current replacement value is in excess of $100 million, of which approximately one half is environmental control related.

The unique nature of long rotary kiln with the closed-loop air and water circuit, allows Nova the possibility to process a wide variety of lead bearing materials in addition to lead-acid bat- teries. Nova captures 99.99% of sulphur emissions and the materials in addition neutralised sulphuric acid is utilised in a number of internal cleaning and cooling applications. Finally over 99% of the polypropylene which originated from the battery cases is cleaned and shipped for recycling.

A significant amount of used oils contaminated by heavy metals is disposed at our facility and thus insuring the recycling of their heavy metals contaminants.
