Northern Dynamics OPC toolkit is ideal for OEMs looking to provide OPC connectivity in their product offering. With this tool, development staff can focus solely on driver development and not worry about learning the intricacies of OPC, COM or DCOM. All those details are abstracted away behind an easy to use class library packaged in a single DLL. Toolkit users can cut valuable time off development schedules. If an OEM already has already the protocol stack required to communicate with their devices, OPC server connectivity can be provided literally in a matter of days. Features: Guaranteed compliance with the OPC standard. All required, and most optional interfaces, defined by both the 1.0A and 2.0 specification are supported. Efficient communications through a free threaded design. All 32 bit Windows platforms are supported (i.e. Windows 95/98/NT ). Can be linked to virtually any type of application (e.g. MFC, ATL, Win32, console, NT service). Built-in run-time diagnostics (multilevel tracing and server statistics). NDI has developed the following OPC servers: CIMPLICITY HMI OPC Server for GE Fanuc Automation and GEM ESP OPC Server for CEGELEC Series Gem80/400 PLCs.
