Powercam System

Vcs-2000
Nautilus designs and manufactures the VCS 2000 leaky feeder communication system for voice, data and video. The standard system provides 4 channels of wideband full colour FM video, 4 voice and 2 data channels simultaneously and it can be expanded to meet custom applications. Engine monitoring and collection of data from up to 32 sensors (analogue and digital) are incorporated into all Nautilus Systems.

120ssf
The Portable Unit's case has a full 'O' ring seal, is completely weatherproof and is made of very strong, lightweight polyethylene. All switches are double sealed. Fully programmable proportional or on/off Joysticks. Fire suppression switch. Accidental activation avoided with a lift to operate switch and a three second countdown. The 'Select Status' switch allows the operator to select and display the Remote Vehicle monitoring function of his/her choice. This information may include hydraulic and pneumatic pressures and temperatures, various fluid levels, and a variety of engine monitoring functions. The Portable Unit will not allow the operator to activate it unless the joysticks and switches are all in the safe (off) position prior to activation. The LCD display will inform the operator which of the joysticks or switches is preventing the Portable Unit from being activated, should this occur. The Portable Unit includes a Tilt Detector switch, which automatically shuts off the unit if the operator falls, but does not react to normal operator movements. Excellent operating range The 120SSF is a versatile full feedback, on/off or proportional radio remote control system, capable of operating and monitoring all of the functions of a wide range of mining, construction, and industrial equipment such as: LHDs, Jumbo Drill Rigs, Continuous Miners, Rock Breakers, Longwall Cutters, Roof Bolters, Locomotives and many others. Nautilus 120SSF Systems use a 16 bit CRC check combined with unique identification codes to ensure the systems will not malfunction in the presence of extraneous RF signals. The Nautilus Systems can be reprogrammed to give on/off outputs instead of proportional outputs or vice-versa, simply by entering the security code. Several different models of receiver are available, capable of operating from 10 to 35 VDC, 30 to 120 VDC or 110 / 220 / 240 VAC. The microprocessor on the Nautilus Remote Vehicle Unit continuously monitors the engine sensors and informs the operator if any should move outside of their safe working limits. This prevents damage to the vehicle and expensive down time. 'Plug-in' design makes the circuit boards easy to replace, ensuring speedy repair and minimal downtime. All cards are 'keyed' with a special notch to ensure that they can only be inserted in the correct position. The 32 character illuminated liquid crystal display provides a variety of diagnostic information. A thick rubber pad in the enclosure lid hold the 'plug-in' circuit boards firmly in place. Individually fused output relays directly operate even the largest solenoids. The versatile 120SSF System is used to operate many different types of equipment. The Portable Unit is shown here with a Marietta Miner which is used at the P.C.S. Lanigan Division potash mine in Saskatchewan, Canada. This custom 120SSF controls all of the functions of the Marietta Miner and also monitors the current in the 4 Head Amplifier Motors, Hydraulic Pressure, the telephone line and many other sensors. Security access codes prevent unauthorized use of equipment and eliminates the need for keys. Security codes are also used to allow the supervisor to change the pre-selected parameters. All Nautilus systems are tested in an environmental chamber from -30 C to +60C. The humidity is varied from 40% to 83% during this environmental test. The Nautilus Railmax System uses the versatile Chestpack 600 Portable unit and is capable of operating a wide range of industrial equipment including Railway locomotives, car movers, Mining locomotives, cranes and many other types of mobile equipment. Chestpack 600 Portable Units
This unit, in its many different configurations, is used to operate equipment such as Yard locomotives, Car movers, underground / surface Mining Locomotives and many other types of mobile equipment. The Railmax is a full-feedback system capable of monitoring all of the important functions of the R.V.U. and sending this information back to the remote operator to be shown on the Chestpack Unit's illuminated LCD display. Two snap-in rechargeable batteries provide power for up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The weatherproof portable unit is made of strong, light weight polyethylene and includes sealed switches and a full 'O' ring perimeter seal. The Portable Unit can be programmed to operate on any pre-approved frequency and identification code. Safety and operating procedures can easily be changed to suit customer's requirements. The transmitter can include a tilt detector which automatically protects the operator but does not respond to normal movements such as bending, climbing or lifting. Switches, Knobs, and the Back-lit Display have all been designed and arranged for maximum efficiency and ease of operation.

Remote Vehicle Unit (r.V.U.)
Several different models of Remote Vehicle Units are available, capable of operating from 7 to 35 VDC or from 30 to 120 VDC. The compact size of the R.V.U. makes it very easy to install in the Locomotive or Car Mover. The microprocessors on the Nautilus R.V.U. continuously monitor all of the required functions and immediately inform the operator as soon as any readings start to move outside of their safe working limits. Individually fused output relays directly operate even the largest solenoids. The 32 character illuminated liquid crystal display provides a variety of diagnostic information. 'Plug-in' design makes the circuit boards easy to replace, ensuring speedy repair and minimal 'down-time'. All cards are 'keyed' with a special notch to ensure that they can only be inserted in the correct position in the R.V.U. Motherboard. The tough fiberglass enclosure includes a weather - tight 'O' ring seal and is fitted with rubber shock mounts. A thick rubber pad in the lid acts as a giant shock absorber but also holds the 'plug-in' circuit boards firmly in place.

Pneumatic Interface
The electro - pneumatic interface provides proportional control of the Automatic and Independent Brakes plus many other functions. The entire interface is mounted on a single plate which is approximately 18' x 24' x 6' deep. Manifold mounted valves and plug-in solenoids ensure easy maintenance and reliable operation. Strategically placed gauges make it easy to monitor the pneumatic status of the locomotive.

Cranemax
The Nautilus Cranemax System is a versatile radio remote - control system capable of operating a wide range of industrial equipment including any type of Crane. FEATURES: The Nautilus Cranemax System will use 1 of 3 Portable Control Units. The Chestpack 600, the Maxonic 200 or the Powerbase 300. Each of these Portable Units can control many different types of AC and DC powered cranes. Security access codes prevent unauthorized use of equipment and eliminate the need for keys. Security codes are also used to allow the supervisor to change pre-selected parameters. The Portable Unit can be programmed to operate on any pre-approved frequency and identification code. Safety and operating procedures can easily be changed to suit customer's requirements. A single Portable Unit may control 2 different cranes either individually or simultaneously. This is very useful when two cranes must carry a long steel girder or oversize container between them.

Maxonic 200 Portable Unit
This unique Transmitter meets CLASS I DIV. l / II GROUPS A - F (Explosion Proof) requirements and complies with both North American and European Standards. This transmitter is designed to meet the customer's needs and can operate 7 motions with each motion having up to 5 speeds and / or: -Single or dual Bridge -Up to 3 Trolleys -Up to 3 Hoists -Hydraulic Bridge Brake -Pitch and Catch operation The Trolley / Hoist selector switch selects the required Trolley and Hoist combination allowing the 3 knobs to easily control up to 7 motions. The Portable Unit will also remotely control a Crane's hydraulic footbrake (if required).

Powerbase 300 Portable Unit
Large AC cranes and even 250 ton DC cranes are no match for the Nautilus Powerbase 300 Portable Unit. This System is capable of operating 6 or 7 motion cranes with each motion having up to 6 speeds. Dynamic lowering and proportional control voltages to SCR drivers is not a problem. The portable unit is light weight and fully weatherproof for use indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions from -30 C to +60 C.

Remote Unit (r.U.)
Several different models of receiver are available, capable of operating from 16 to 280 VAC and from 12 to 300 VDC. A thick rubber pad in the enclosure lid holds the plug-in circuit boards firmly in place. The tough fiberglass enclosure includes a weather tight 'O' ring seal and is fitted with rubber shock mounts. Plug-in design makes the circuit boards easy to replace, ensuring speedy repair and minimal 'down-time'. All cards are 'keyed' with a special notch to ensure that they can only be inserted in the correct position in the Remote Unit Motherboard. The compact size of the Receiver makes it very simple to install anywhere on the Crane Bridge or in the cab. Although the Unit is small it contains all of the elements required to directly operate the various Crane's AC contactors. The 32 character illuminated liquid crystal display provides a variety of diagnostic information.

Battery Charger 1000
2 independent circuits allow charging of empty batters in just over 55 minutes. An LCD display provides charging information and battery voltage status. A trickle charge keeps full batteries 'topped - up' until they are removed.

These systems are used by a wide range of industries including: Mining, Railways, Marine, Offshore installations and many others. Nautilus has 2 very large contracts in Australia for Tele-operation of underground mining vehicles (unmanned) and is the world leader in this field. We are currently working on the automation of almost all of the equipment used in underground mines.
