Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership
Since its inception in 1965, the Musson Cattell Mackey
Partnership has grown to be one of British Columbia's largest
architectural practices with approximately 50 professional,
technical and support staff. We have an extensive and varied
clientele, and with our associated interior design firm, MCM
Interiors Ltd., are capable of providing comprehensive design
services for any type of undertaking. The firm has become an
industry leader in a large number of project types which include:
- High-Rise Office Buildings
- Urban and Resort Hotels
- Shopping Centres and Public Markets
- Retail Stores and Restaurants
- Trade and Convention Centres
- Recreation and Entertainment Facilities
- Cinemas and Auditoria
- Transportation, Inter-Modal Centres
- Cruise Ship Terminals
The firm has won a large number of awards for innovative and
creative design, both in architecture and interior design.
The Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership combines a design
orientation with a depth of solid expertise in construction,
cost control, codes and contract administration. In any given
year, we are responsible for construction that exceeds a hundred
million dollars of value. Our practice utilizes state-of-the-
art CADD systems. With the proven expertise of our design team,
technical staff and contract administration personnel, we are
able to provide our clients with the highest quality of
architectural service available.
The Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership has been involved in a
great variety of projects and through this exposure has gained a
significant understanding in design as it affects human
behaviour. This understanding and interest in human response to
the built environment has led to the increased participation of
the Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership in projects of significant
urban design; the firm is now involved in major public projects
relating to the new town centres which are being developed as
catalysts for the extension of the automatic rail transit system
now being put into place in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.
While our firm has a reputation built upon the major
developments we have designed in the downtown area of Vancouver,
much of our work has been in the neighbouring municipalities and
is made up of very much smaller, though not necessarily any less
significant, projects.
The Partnership is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and
operates primarily in western Canada but has undertaken projects
across Canada to Toronto. The firm has also provided design
services for projects in China, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
