Established in 1980 and based in Toronto, Ontario, the Mekinda Snyder Partnership Incorporated is a Canadian architectural and planning firm which specializes in long-term care facilities for seniors and in education facilities; we have also built hotels, churches, residences, and apartment and condominium buildings. The firm is experienced in providing construction management services. Our continuum of care com- munities for seniors include apartments (with and without sup- port), chronic care, convalescent hospitals, and retirement homes. Two recently completed award-winning long-term care facilities with Alzheimer's units required the firm's expertise in needs assessment, functional programming and operational re- views. They have been visited by Korean delegations. The firm has also just completed in Sarnia, Ontario, a $25 million (CDN) project of three schools on the same site for which we also acted as construction manager. Since the firm's inception we have designed over 120 schools, new or renovated. The Mekinda Synder Partnership has five partners, four architects and one planner, and a support staff of 25. We are currently involved in the design of two seniors' projects in Korea: a continuum of care project in Yang Peung for the Young Poong Medical Foun- dation as well as a 200 bed psycho-geriatric facility in Ah San for the Korea University Hospital.
