Patented Method Using Organophosporous Salt
The method removes lead, cadmium, zinc, and mixtures thereof, present in the aqueous effluent by: 1) contacting the effluent with an organophosphorous salt such as sodium di-(n-octly) phosphinate 2) achieving precipitation by reaction of the metal species with the salt 3) recovering said precipitate by filtration Advantageously, the organophosphorous salt may be regenerated from the precipitate.
