Legal Name: MagPower Systems Inc.

Number of Employees: 25

Country of Ownership:

CA

Technology Profile:

MagPower has developed the scientific means to control the detrimental formation of hydrogen that occurs in electrochemical reactions in the identified however not limited to following applications:

Magnesium-Air Fuel Cell (MAPC) (Patented) Hydrogen Embrittlement Electrowinning (zinc (Patented), copper, nickel, gold, silver, cobalt, manganese, magnesium) Zinc Alkaline Batteries (Patented) Coolants Electroplating Waste Water Recycling Metal-Air Power Sources (zinc, aluminum)Anodizing Heater Packs (US Military)

MagPower Systems Inc. has developed a powerful, reliable and environmentally friendly non-toxic alternative power source that generates electricity through a combination of magnesium, oxygen and a saltwater electrolyte in conjunction with MagPowers patent pending hydrogen inhibitors. The magnesium-air technology has never reached the commercial stage due to its limiting power output caused by hydrogen generation. MagPower is the only company in the world that has solved this problem and has patents on its intellectual property; the Hydrogen Inhibitors.

The MAPC is a less expensive and more reliable replacement to the lead acid and solar power markets.

The first products MagPower has developed are as follows:

-12 volt portable MAPC. Indefinite shelf life that produces power on demand. -MAPC that replaces the less efficient solar and lead acid battery applications. -MAPC to replace the 3 million batteries sold annually for the electric trolling motor. -MAPC as a power source for the portable ultra violet water purification system. -Portable fuel cell for third world countries.

Hydrogen Inhibitors

MagPower Systems Inc. has developed powerful, reliable and environmentally friendly non-toxic inhibitors that have been proven to control the formation of hydrogen in metal electrowinning processes. There are over 30 such inhibitors that the company has developed. The commercial application for the hydrogen inhibitors will significantly reduce power consumption and increase the efficiency in the electrowinning production of metals as zinc, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, gold, silver, copper and nickel. Use of the hydrogen inhibitors in the zinc electrowinning process alone, reduces world annual power consumption by up to $250, 000, 000.
