MMC Packaging Equipment, Inc. was established in 1991. We began with ten employees, who still represent the technical, and managerial core of the company. These original employees account for a combined 120 years of experience in making after-molding automation systems exclusively for the closure manufacturers industry. We do not sell, nor market our equipment to companies outside of the closure manufacturers industry. Our sales have grown an average of companies outside of the closure manufacturers industry. Our sales have grown an average of 30% every year we have been in existence. We currently employ 70 people in our new 38, 000 square foot plant, in the Montreal, Quebec area.
Our commitment to offering the most technically advanced automation systems available exclusively to closure manufacturers has resulted in MMC becoming the supplier of choice to this industry. The most popular product we offer to closure manufacturers is the cap lining system.
MMC Cap Lining systems Our machines are designed and manufactured to stamp out lining (wadding) material disks from roll stock, and install the disks into your caps at rates up to 1, 200 caps per minute, depending upon cap size and design. We have tooling capable of cutting and installing various types of disk configurations:
- Pull-Tab (folded back type)
- Three-Tabbed or Two-Tabbed (non-folded back type)
- Pull-Tab/Three-Tabbed disk (takes advantage of the convenient
removal feature of the Pull-Tab as well as the centering and retention benefits of the Three-Tabbed system)
- Donut (gasket or washer type)
- Double lining capability (two lining material disks installed
into the cap in one pass through the machine)
Recent additions to our engineering staff have allowed us to participate in other types of automation for the closure manufacturers:
- Cap Assembly Systems
- Tamper-Evident Band Cap Slitting and TE-Band Folding systems
- Combination Assembly/Lining machine
- Cap Closing Systems for dispensing closures
Our R.& D team is dedicated to continuously improving and upgrading every mechanical and electrical function in all the systems we offer. Our entire company is also committed to the development of new systems that meet and exceed even the most stringent demands our customers in the closure manufacturers industry have for this type of automation
