The Luna Fertility Indicator is based on the science of the saliva/hormone phenomenon. When a woman ovulates, the increased estrogen creates salt in her saliva producing a ferning pattern when viewed through a special microscope. By tracking these patterns on the kits comprehensive chart a woman can pinpoint the best time for conception. These completed charts will also provide healthcare professionals information pertinent to an accurate conception date, infertility or a shift in overall health.

The Luna Fertility Indicator and the contents of the Luna Fertility Kit have met the regulatory requirements of the Food and Drug Administration, Health Canada (DIN 2123) and ISO 13488:1996.
