Sugar making has been, for generations, of great interest for the Denis family. In 1938, Osa Denis operated the first family sugar house. One hundred and fifty taps were enough for his family needs.
In 1946, his son, Paul-Aim, built his own sugar house. From 300 taps, the number increased to 1, 450. Production was enough for Paul-Aim's family of 13 children and some friends.
Following in his father's foot steps, Michel, and his wife Monique, took over in 1988, developed an important sugar production network and founded a company called: 'L'rablire aux 4 Saisons Inc.', with Michel as president. Spread over two different communities, the 60, 000 taps produce gallons and gallons of maple syrup every spring.
Michel's and Monique's children have been involved for some years in sap collection, production, marketing and the overall sugar making operations. In constant evolution, L'rablire aux 4 Saisons Inc. intends to increase the number of taps to about 90, 000 next spring.
The Denis family and L'rablire aux 4 Saisons Inc. count on a four generation experience, which means 60 years of the expertise required to offer a top quality maple product.
