Aeration - Mixing Units - Water and Wastewater Treatmentn for human and livestock.
Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial - Bio-remediation facilitator for water supplies, wastewater and liquid manure open air facilities.
The 'Little River Pond Mill' creates a vortex and circulation pattern which draws water and sediments/sludge to the surface, where a passive aeration and UV degradation of organics can occur. The aeration provides the aerobic environment necessary for proliferation of all organisms requiring oxygen. An increase in the DOC enables the aerobic bacteria and detritus consumers to break-down the organics with the greatest efficiency. Odorous and toxic gases, such as hydrogen sulphide and methane, are virtually eliminated, since they are byproducts of anaerobic decomposition. The natural balance of the aquatic system is restored. Nutrients released from the decomposition process are then utilized by a great variety of organisms, including algal and plant species which, in turn, are part of the food chain for other organisms. The increased oxygen content of the water, as well as the circulation, which prevents the formation of nutrient and oxygen deficient regions, promote the proliferation of the higher organisms which prey on these lower level species. The 'Little River Pond Mill' is wind-powered, thus it is environmentally friendly and cost-efficient.
