PG manufactures solid hardwood strip flooring to meet the
highest standards of quality in the Canadian industry.
Production began in 1979, and company founder Richard Garneau
has instilled his passion for wood and his appreciation of
craftsmanship in his employees, while sharing his know-how.
He has surrounded himself with young and dynamic management
team which includes his children Hlne, Claude and Julie.
The team, whose members average age is 35, is well versed
in modern management techniques.
PG's improvement of production procedures is an ongoing process.
Each year, PG reinvests an important part of company profits
to purchase increasingly efficient equipment and to optimize
its numerically controlled production lines.
PG's sales have continuously increased, thanks to
state-of-the-art equipment, ongoing personnel training and
rigorous quality control. From an initial two million board feet
(bd. ft.) or 150,000 m2 sold in 1982, PG now manufactures and
distributes over nine million bd. ft. of strip flooring (650,000
m2)annually. Actual plant production capacity can easily attain
twelve million bd. ft. (900,000 m2) per year.
