LTEEa leader in electrotechnologies a laboratory to be discovered
Laboratoire des Technologies Electrochimiques et des Electrotechnologies
Since its inception, in 1987, the LTEE's main objective was to assist industry. In order to achieve this goal, specialists in industrial processes were recruted. Today, proud of its expertise, the LTEE makes specialists and facilities available to industry, to improve processes and to develop new electricity using technologies.
In fact, LTEE helps manufacturers choose the technologies that are best adapted to their needs, support studies and test both in the laboratories and on site to ensure the best solution is chosen. Furthermore, LTEE pursues new technologies to advance its expertise, identifies technological niches according to real needs and commands unique skills in electrical technologies. Also, LTEE participates sometimes in the financing of selected projects.
LTEE is much more than a simple research centre with equipment and specialists. It is an unique testing laboratory at the forefront of efficient technologies development. LTEE is also, a major resource facility since it is in contact with most large international research centre. Scientists at LTEE collaborate with research groups affiliated with university departments, governmental and other scientific associations.
Today, LTEE is renowned internationally for its word-class facilities and research for the commercial applications of its electrotechnologies and its involvement in diverse sciences.
Over the last five years, LTEE has participated in the installation of many new processes, wich have enabled industries to improve their position on the market, become even more competitive or open new technological avenues.
The range of activities at LTEE is almost as vast as the industrial world itself. Three major areas of expertise are available at LTEE; Electrotechnology, Electrochemistry and High temperature processes.
Industrial electrotechnologies include induction heating, infrared radiation, microwaves and radio-frequencies. They are applied singly or sometimes jointly to heat, dry, cook, melt and process liquids or solids. Many applications have improved in agri-food sector, in textile, on paper, wood, etc.
In Asia, the LTEE has worked with different organisations like the Tieling Joint Stock Group, Yuasa Battery in Japan, Kobe Steel in Japan, Jilin Group in China, Taysung Entreprise in Taiwan and recently, its trying to develop a method to test the motors cause LTEE has a unique facility to test Motors ans Adjustable Speed Drives (up to 750 hp). We know that the asiatic's country begin to develop the concept of Energy Efficiency cause the next week, we will receive 15 persons from China who wants to know the different Hydro-Qubec's programms that we use in residential and commercial sectors. The LTEE is also a leader in the conception of different electric equipments used in the industry.
