KWH Pipe is the largest manufacturer of polyethylene pipe and fittings in Canada and one of the leading manufactures of these products in the United States. Within North America, pipe production is carried out at three locations: Huntsville, Ontario, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Shafter, California. These three North American production facilities enable KWH Pipe to be one of the principal suppliers of polyethylene pipe and fittings in North America, as well as, the Caribbean, Central and South America. In addition to the North American operations, on a worldwide basis, KWH Pipe operates production facilities in Scandinavia, Europe and Southeast Asia. The company's principle product, Sclairpipe high density polyethylene pipe, has its primary uses in industrial, chemical and mining, water and wastewater applications. In the municipal market, Sclairpipe excels in potable water, storm and sanitary sewers and landfill applications. Medium density polyethylene pipe, also manufactured by KWH Pipe, is used extensively for natural gas distribution and, in fact, is the material of choice for 95% of all natural gas distribution piping installed in Canada and the US. Gas pipe marketed by KWH Pipe is called Wehogas. KWH Pipe is registered to ISO 9002 and is a member of The Plastics Pipe Institute.

Sclairpipe (TM), as manufactured by KWH Pipe (Canada) Ltd., provides outstanding resistance to both internal and external chemical attack. This high density polyethylene is chemically inert to a wide range of chemicals.
Sclairpipe is supplied in a wide range of diameters, including the largest diameter high density pipe available in the world - 63'. The available size range is from 3/4' to 63' in Iron Pipe Sizes (IPS) with metric (ISO) sizes also available.
Sclairpipe is available in as many as ten different pressure classes as designated by Dimensional Rations (DR). The DR relates the minimum wall thickness of the pipe to its outside diameter. The maximum continuous operating pressure of a pipe depends on the pipe's DR and operating temperature.
The superior performance of Sclairpipe results from the combination of pipe and fittings designed to work together as a complete system. A full range of pressure rated fittings is available to suit any application.
The most popular method of joining Sclairpipe in the field is by thermal butt fusion, a technique which is economical and fast, permitting the assembly of very long continuous lengths. The thermally fused joints are as strong as the pipe itself, providing a continuous leak-proof system.
A variety of mechanical joints including flanges are also available, which can be used to join Sclairpipe to other items (such as valves) or structures.
