Corporate History

KBM Forestry Consultants Inc. was incorporated in 1973 to provide
a variety of forestry services to government and industry in
Northwestern Ontario. The initial focus of the company was on
the supply of mechanical site preparation and tree planting
services, principally to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Forest management in Ontario has changed considerably since those
early days and KBM has evolved along with the changes. There are
now four divisions within the company - Consulting; Contracting;
Sales; and, Technical Services; that collectively employ 19
full-time and 8 part-time staff to service the company's
extensive client base. In addition, to its Canadian operations,
KBM has operated a sales and contracting office in Los Angeles,
Chile since 1993.

KBM has developed a strong forestry consulting presence marked by
a 'down-to-earth' approach. One of the principal strategies used
by the consulting division is the formation of consulting teams
that incorporate specialists from outside KBM, on an as-required
basis. These specialists come from various agencies across
Canada and collaborate frequently with KBM staff to meet the
demands of our clients in Northwestern Ontario, across Canada and
around the world.

KBM encompasses a unique blend of professional, technical and
vocational talent that effectively brings new ideas from the
conceptual stage through to implementation. This has led to: 1)
practical inventory and forest management planning services; 2)
business development opportunities and business planning for
First Nations; 3) the development of mechanical site preparation
systems; 4) site preparation and GPS mapping capabilities; and 5)
new seeding products. Providing fully integrated forestry
services to clients in Northwestern Ontario remains our priority.
