Products
Plating Equipment
Rectifiers, Dc Power
High Current SCR Controlled Power Supplies
The most general and versatile power supply in our line-up. Can be tailored to suit:
General Plating
Decorate chrome
Hardchrome including full reversing
Electrowinning
Electro-cleaning
Standard or hard anodizing
Electro-polishing
Ideal for rack plating, barrel plating or continuous strip. Suitable for jobshops or automatic plating lines. Designed for continuous duty, it is available as forced air or water-cooled. Rectifiers of 4,000A or less are also available natural convection-cooled.
Rectifier Paralleling
NAR has developed a system for operating multiple rectifiers with both positive and negative electrodes common to all rectifiers. Rectifiers are controlled from the central location to automatically share the total load current.
Advantages:
Reduces downtime through n+1 redundancy
Allows production to continue uninterrupted
Increases the lifespan of the rectifier by operating at a lower setpoint - therefore less heat.
Master/slave emplyed by competing systems is eliminated.
Rectifiers of various sizes can be paralleled if the output voltage is the same.
High Voltage Rectifiers
Designed specifically for electro-coating (e-coat) processes, this high voltage rectifier can be modified to suit various applications such as water treatment applications, moto-generator replacement and other alternative energy applications. A low ripple rectifier equipped with all standard features required for the e-coating process.
Features:
High voltage interlocks
High voltage warnings lights
Minimum trickle voltage
Adjustable ramps
Available forced air-cooled. High voltage rectifiers of 400A or less are available in natural convection-cooled.
Reversing Rectifiers
High Current Electronic Reversible Power Supplies
The most widely used hardchrome rectifier in Canada, this model also works well for specific electro-cleaning processes. Easy to operate, it eliminates the need for high-maintenance polarity-reversing switches that sap energy. Ripple, when measured at the rectifier, is less than 5% through 60% of the range. Available in forced air or water-cooled. Reversing rectifiers of 1,000A or less are available in natural convection-cooled.
