IRIS Environmental Systems (IRIS) is a Canadian environmental
consulting company, providing multi-disciplinary services to
government agencies, national and multinational industries, and
international development banking institutions.
IRIS has provided services in: resource inventory; impact
assessment; protection planning; environmental audits; policy
analysis; project feasibility assessment; environmental
institution capability assessment and strengthening;
environmental programme development; environmental project
management and monitoring; and review of environmental
legislation, standards and regulations.
IRIS' GIS technology has been applied to the EIA process,
forestry sector, coastal management and oil spill response, flood
prediction and prevention, watershed management of water supply
and compatible use. The consultancy is applied to natural
resource inventory, environmental analysis and planning, and
environmental engineering. A further service is contract
database construction through the GIS and translation to other
GIS systems where necessary, for a wide variety of applications.
