IPAC Chemicals Limited, a wholly owned Canadian company, offers over 100 chemical products, which are used in specialty and water treatment industries.

We are the largest independent Canadian chemical company in British Columbia, Canada, manufacturing and selling products to the pulp and paper process, sulphur, mining and industrial wastewater and water treatment industries in North and South America. Our water treatment business includes boiler and cooling water chemical programs, technical service, and testing and control equipment.

IPAC Chemicals has a strong commitment to developing new and environmentally friendly products for the specialty chemical industry.

We have a specialized division that sells and services chemical applications to the sulphur industry. These products are designed to minimise the impact of dust and acid formation on the environment and shipping vessels during the storage, transportation and handling of sulphur. There is a growing awareness that sulphur dust and acid generation can become a problem wherever sulphur is handled, we believe that our technologies can help mitigate these problems wherever they occur.

IPAC Chemicals Limited has acquired over 20 years of experience in controlling sulphur dust and acid generation. We have also developed process chemicals, to improve release of various forms of sulphur products, such as prill, rotoform and slate from transfer belts. All products we have developed have passed the vigorous monitoring and testing performed by ASRL on behalf of the sulphur industry. All of our current sulphur chemical product line meets ASRL criteria including carsul generation specifications. As a result of our expertise and commitment to the industry, virtually every kilogram of sulphur shipped from the Port of Vancouver to overseas markets is treated with our products.

IPAC's pulp and paper division Power Chemicals Ltd began in 1976 with the manufacture of combustion catalysts supplied to the pulp and paper industry. Since then, our product line has expanded to include many products being used in a wide range of industries. One thing that has not changed however, is PowerChems commitment to service. Our commitment is to help our customers solve problems through the application of specially formulated chemical treatments. PowerChem is ISO 9001 certified and has customers in both Canada and the United States. Products are shipped in drums, totes or bulk containers.

Power product line, which now serves pulp and paper, mining and industrial operations includes: Combustion Catalysts, Fuel oil additives, Cleaners and degreasers, Scale inhibitors, Scale removers, Flocculants and coagulants, Dust Suppressants, Chip Penetrants, Enzyme, Defoamers, De-icers, Hydrogen sulphide scavengers.
