(2001-1999) Representation, public relations and marketing strategy for Turbowave Inc. Turbowave is an information infrastructure technology company that designs and delivers wireless communication devices based on the IEEE 802.11 and Mobile ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) standards established by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The US Center for Information Infrastructure Technology (CIIT) is under contract with Turbowave to develop mobile Ad-Hoc network communications systems, the first commercial wireless devices with a Media Access Controller (MAC) based on the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Mobile Ad-Hoc NETworks (MANETs) protocol. Turbowave is also a Corporate Sponsor of the Virginia Tech Antenna Group (VTAG), from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, one of the best antenna research centers in the World.
(1999-1998) Representation, public relations and marketing strategy of the Silicon Island Project Canada-Cuba, in cooperation with the Commercial division of the Canadian Embassy in Havana. The main objective was to develop strategic alliances between Canadian and Cuban Industry in Information Technologies (I. T.) towards the market of Latin America: telehealth, multimedia, geomatic, remote programming, e-commerce, etc...
(1998) Technical assistance to the Program for the Recovery of the Economy in Transition (PRET) at the trade show Infotel Haiti Expo 98 for DAI / USAID. The scope of work was: to organize the participation of the web site HaitianCrafts. org (Formerly Small Haiti Artisanal Linkage Export - SHALE) at Infotel Haiti Expo 98;
to improve the web site's marketing; to promote Haitiancrafts. org's opportunity and USAID's increased interest in Information Technologies; to identify a variety of potential partner interested to take-over Haitiancrafts. org and its societal goals; to prepare and participate in a debate on 'The use of Information Technologies in the development of new markets for Haiti's micro-entrepreneurs'.
(1998) Communication and marketing strategy for the web site of the Societe du Rhum Barbancourt, www. barbancourt. com. The major objectives was to: contribute to an efficient promotion of Barbancourt rums; reinforce the circulation of information and optimize services towards Barbancourt's distributors; generate trafic and stimulate feed-back.
(1997) Communication and marketing strategy for the launching of two credit cards: SOGECARTE - MasterCard and SHELL - MasterCard. The objectives was to stimulate the membership, to promote MasterCard's advantages and educate customers to use credit cards as a modern financial tool.
(1997) Communication and marketing strategy for the launching of the first unleaded gasoline in Haiti for SHELL - Haiti. The objectives was to stimulate the trial of the new gasoline and to associate the commitment of SHELL - Haiti for the protection of the environment.
(1997-1988) Advertising strategy and social marketing for Shell - Haiti, such as the reforestation program, the tourism development program and the road security program. We have been first in Haiti, to associate advertising and social marketing.
(1996) Support to the project team in the design and analysis of a program for the strengthening of the Haitian Parliament and development of a communication and marketing strategy for enhancing the process of public dialogue and constituency relations of the Parliament, under the Modernization of the State Program in Haiti / Inter-American Development Bank.
(1996) Copy-writing, conception and development of a web site for the Small Haiti Artisanal Linkage Export (SHALE) Project for Development Alternatives Inc. ( DAI). The SHALE is the first program of it kind in Haiti designed to use appropriate technology to streamline the development of artisanal market linkages through the internet. The SHALE is financed by the USAID, under the PRET/ DAI.
(1996-1995) Strategy and creation for the introduction of a new contraceptive pill in Haiti. The lead contractors are SOMARC and Sant* Plus and the campaign is funded by the USAID. Pilplan is destined to low-middle class population all around the urban and semi-urban area of the country. The objectives was to stimulate the trial and in a next step to reinforce the fidelity of customers.
(1996-1989) National Immunization, diarrhea control and breastfeeding promotion Programs for the Health ministry and UNICEF, in HAITI. Our basic approach was to involve local participation, to target the market places, to tap into the spirit of entrepreneurship and the motivation of medical agents. Also, for the first time in this kind of campaigns, we integrated a voodoo organization. We used a wide traditional and electronic media approaches all around the country.
(1996-1988) Worked on many UNICEF programs related to child rights and drug abuse. We was responsible of strategy and creation.
(1995) Communication and marketing strategy for the new Breastfeeding campaign 1995-1996, funded by UNICEF and many others financial and technical partners. The central idea is to value the breastfeeding.
(1995-1992) Development of an organizational and training program for the Societe du Rhum Barbancourt, an agro-industry in Haiti. The goal of this program was to improve the human and economic well-being of the enterprise and its employees. The objectives was to: reinforce family spirit; develop internal communication tools and the circulation of information; assure a better match between the company's needs and the workers' needs; assure a more powerful competitive commercial situation. The entire program was developed with the workers, with management's complete support.
(1993) Conception and production of a training video on emergency measures for 'Aeroports de Montreal'(ADM) and 'Regie Regionale de la Sante et des Services Sociaux des laurentides', in Canada. The video is aimed at the emergency intervention groups at the Mirabel international airport.
(1991-1990) Action plan in the 'bateyes' of the Dominican Republic, for the Centro de promocion integral y salud educacional (CEPROINSAE). This plan cover human rights, health, education and literacy, agriculture, advancement of women and community organization.
1990-1989) Launching of the popular gas stove BIP TI CHERI, in Haiti, for Shell - Haiti and Sodigaz. The innovation was to develop an educational approach based on radio and TV soaps. This campaign was rated by UNDP/World Bank (ESMAP), in its 'Republic d'Haiti, Strategie pour l'Energie Domestique' study (June 1991) as a great success. BIP took 10% of charcoal market shares in the first 3 months.
(1989) Launching of the first AIDS educational campaign in the work-sites of Port-au-Prince, in Haiti, for GLAS and USAID. Our innovation was to target an homogeneous group: the workers. To prevent AIDS, we need more than a creative slogan. The intervention on the work-site has permitted an interactive exchange, the sharing of common experiences, and has helped the participants develop new behaviors against AIDS in their daily life and work.
