ICA provides advice and assistance to companies or public sector
agencies in Canada seeking to start or expand their activities in
Japan or with Japanese partners. ICA offers these same services
also to Japanese companies and government organizations with an
interest in Canada.
ICA`s services are offered in English or Japanese, and include:
1) market research, in Canada and Japan, by type of business
sought or product/service offered
2) identification of suitable partners in, and negotiations for
establishing, joint venture or partnership agreements between
Canadian and Japanese firms or public sector agencies
3) finding new export opportunities or locating new sources of
supply (imports) in Canada and Japan
4) matching investors with investment opportunities
5) assistance in the certification of products to Canadian or
Japanese standards
In 2005, ICA began offering equivalent services also to develop business links between Canada and the European Union. These include advising on and facilitating trade, direct investments, technology transfers, joint ventures, and R&D cooperation. As with our Japan-oriented services, ICA's EU-focused services are aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, public sector organizations, and industry associations and NGO's.
