Image Inspection Services Ltd.
Image Inspection Services manufactures remote television cameras
for inspecting underground sewers and pipelines. The camera is
a self contained unit which is drawn through the pipe, and using
it's own light source, transmits a picture of the inside
conditions of the pipe to the operator. The inspection results
are video taped for a permanent record. Defects along with
their corresponding distance measurement are noted on the video
cassette as well as in a computer generated log report.
The camera is typically drawn from manhole to manhole either by
a winch or a pressure flushing machine. A remote crawler is
available for conveying the camera when access is restricted to
one end.
The camera can be used for inspecting pipe diameters from 3'
through 48' in diameter with a maximum cable length of 2500'.
Similarly, the video camera can be lowered into wells and
boreholes.

Remote Sewer Camera To Inspect The Pipes
The sewer camera is a waterproof video camera with its own light source. It is pushed, pulled, or driven by an electric tractor through a sewer pipe or pipeline. It is connected to a camera control unit by an electric cable with built-in strain relief. The camera image is shown on a standard TV monitor and can also be recorded onto a standard video cassette. As the camera travels through the pipe, an exact image of the inside conditions of the sewer or pipeline is shown on the monitor screen. The operator can raise or lower the camera and adjust the camera light level to provide the optimum image of any defect.
As the camera travels through the sewer, an electronic distance counter provides the camera distance so that exact measurements to defects can be noted. When the inspection is complete, the camera is removed, and the results are permanently recorded onto video tape for future reference. Distance measurements to defects can be used to minimize the amount of necessary excavation, thereby saving considerable amounts of money. There is a variety of different sewer cameras available for inspecting pipes as small as 2 inches in diameter all the way up to 20 feet in diameter.
Waterproof Well Camera
The well camera is a waterproof video camera with its own light source. It is lowered and raised from the well using a waterproof electric cable with built in strain relief. The camera image is shown on a standard TV monitor and can also be recorded onto a standard video cassette. As the camera enters the well, an exact image of the inside condition of the well is shown on the monitor screen.
The operator can raise or lower the camera and adjust the camera light level to provide the optimum image of any defect. As the camera is lowered into the well, an electronic distance counter provides the camera depth so that exact measurements to defects can be noted. When the inspection is complete, the camera is removed, and the results are permanently recorded onto video tape for future reference.
