Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd., is a pioneer in the manufacturing of
convenience foods with over 25 years of experience. Founded in
1969 by Dave Hygaard Sr. and his wife, Patricia Hygaard, Hygaard
Fine Foods continues to be a family owned and operated enterprise
producing fresh and nutritious sandwich and snack items.
Presently our product line consists of a full compliment of
submarine sandwiches, burgers and specialty items such as Donairs
and Dry Garlic Ribs. A new line of ``deli style`` sandwiches has
been added recently and has proven to be extremely successful.
In addition to this sandwich line we have also developed a new
pastry line which is being marketed under the name ``Patty Lynn
Pastries``. Since initial introduction in 1993, enthusiastic
response prompted Hygaard Fine Foods to continue expansion of
this line. Also distributed by our firm are the very popular
Jack Link`s Kippered Beef meat snacks. Again, the extensive
variety and consistent high quality of the kippered beef snacks
ensures customer preference and satisfaction.
Using exacting standards, Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd., employs over
60 staff members within a 40,000 square foot federally inspected
plant located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. The ``Triple
A`` federal rating consistently awarded to our plant by the Food
Production and Inspection Branch of Agriculture Canada is
testimony of our strong commitment toward the consistent quality
of our products. All products are packaged using the Modified
Atmosphere Packaging Process which through the use of CO2,
atmosphere, extends the shelf life to 35 days and ensures quality
and freshness for the product. Our impermeable ``preprinted``
packaging preserves the product appearance thus creating an
outstanding image. In excess of 40,000 subs and sandwiches are
manufactured daily for distribution throughout Canada and the
U.S. utilizing our network of over 100 independently owned and
operated distributors.
New product development has played an integral role in the growth
experienced by Hygaard Fine Foods. It is our mandate to
continually strive to develop interesting and innovative new
products that are unique and different, giving us the edge over
our competitors. With continued emphasis on new product
development and resourceful marketing techniques, Hygaard Fine
Foods will continue to be the trendsetter in the fast food
