Holstead & Redmond Limite has grown quickly and adapted over the years to address the growing needs and diversity in land information in Southwest Ontario. The firm has an Ontario Land Surveyor, and a staff of technologists with experience in control, cadastral and topographic surveys, and the contract administration and quality control that is associated with these. The firm is involved in horizontal and vertical control and data capture for digital mapping and legal surveys, both governmental and private.

The company owns four robotic total stations to undertake all orders of control work. The company also owns three WILD-LEICA system 300 GPS units with SKI post-processing software and GEOLAB-network adjustments software. Each of these units include a receiver and a controller. The most up-to-date computers, UNIX and DOS operating environments, survey related software and automated drafting and digitizing stations, together with the extremely qualified personnel, make Integrated Survey Services a powerful project team.

With the addition of GPS equipment and related software (SKI and GEOLAB) the company has the ability to establish high accuracy control at a reduced cost. The company has also used the equipment for topographic surveys, road profile and horizontal control ties for Reference Plans. The firm anticipates utilizing this equipment for deformation studies, high order vertical and horizontal control, air photo control and GIS projects in the future. A 400 point second order Horizontal Densification Network Design and an associated Validation Network Survey have recently been completed. The company has the most up-to-date and complete instruments and procedures to complete all phases of a project. Members of the staff have been involved in numerous projects, of varying degrees of size, in past years. The primary function of Holstead & Redmond Limited is as a contractor to municipal, governmental and private sector clients.
