Historica Research Limited
Historica Research Limited has provided public and private sector
clients with historical planning and research services since
1982. Projects relate to environmental assessments, development
applications, and tourism studies. The following examples
describe the diversity of services offered by our firm.
In 1996-98 we were retained by a South Bend, Indiana, engineering
firm to prepare a cultural resources management plan for a 1911
hydro-electric power plant in Sturgis, Michigan, as required by a
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission relicensing application.
Between 1993-95 we worked with a Toronto architect to prepare a
site interpretation plan for the integration of heritage
buildings and artifiacts into the commercial/residential
redevelopment of the historic Gooderham & Worts distillery
property in Toronto.
In 1993-94 we were hired by a Waterloo, Ontario, engineering firm
to conduct an inventory of historic contaminant sources, such as
former industrial sites, for the Regional Municipality of
Waterloo.
