PRODUCT AND COMPANY PROFILE:
Hi-Kalibre Equipment Ltd. is a private Canadian company founded
in January of 1986. Based in Edmonton, Alberta. Hi-Kalibre
Equipment manufactures and services oilfield blowout prevention
equipment for use by drilling and service rig contractors, as
well rental and supply companies. Some of the blow-out
equipment manufactured and serviced by Hi-Kalibre includes
tubing safety valves, upper and lower kelly valves, top drive
valves and actuators, inside BOP's, drop in retrievable check
valves, ball valves, manifolds, inline check valves, gate
valves, chokes, and pressure regulators. Hi-Kalibre also
manufactures aftermarket parts for several brand name products
such as Demco, Oteco, WKM, and Cameron to name a few. All work
performed by Hi-Kalibre is done in our Edmonton plant by our
full time staff of over 50 employees. We are dedicated to
providing the highest quality product at a competitive price,
designed to work in the field hassle free. Our products have
100% Canadian content and are competitively priced. All of our
equipment is designed to be very rugged and requires low
maintenance, a critical requirement in these applications. Hi-
Kalibre Equipment also uses an extensive tracking and
traceability program in order to better serve our customers
needs. R&D is an important part of Hi-Kalibre's success, and
constant innovation and improvements form a basis of our daily
operations. Modern 3-D CAD and CAM programs are the backbone of
our R&D department combined with an extensive knowledge of our
products and the requirements of their use. Some of Hi-
Kalibre's major clients are Tesco Drilling Technology, Bowen Oil
Tools, Nabors Drilling, Precision Drilling, Akita Drilling,
Ensign Drilling, Bonus Well Services, Cenalta Well Services,
Weatherford, Rig Service Tools, B.W. Rig Reapir and C.E.
Franklin.
CURRENT GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING ACTIVITY:
Hi-Kalibre Equipment is mainly concentrated in Western Canada
and the United States with some over-seas sales through supply
stores and existing customers. Through several customers and
supply companies, our products are in use all over the world in
several various applications.
GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING PRIORITES/MARKETING STRATEGIES:
Hi-Kalibre Equipment will continue to service and expand our
North American markets through existing suppliers as well as
Hi-Kalibre itself. Hi-kalibre would like to expand its
international sales exposure by creating strong working
relationships with authorized agents in other markes. Strong
potential has been shown for Europe, Middle East, Far East, as
well as South America. Hi-Kalibre has attended several oil
shows such as the National Petroleum Show in Calgary, and OTS in
Houston, but has not actively displayed our products and
services in any of these shows. Hi-Kalibre Equipment would
welcome suggestions regarding other shows, possible authorized
agents, or perspective suppliers and/or customers located in
some of these potential markets.
