H.R.L Industrial Training Division
H.R.L. Industrial Training Division is committed to providing
first-rate quality training to all students participating in any
of our programs. The welding facility has state of the art
Miller XMT 304 machines capable of operating with any welding
process. Instructors for all programs are fully qualified and
dedicated to the student's successful completion of the program.
The school will operate year round offering programs from Basic
Welding (full time) to Flux Core Arc Welding (short course).
All
students will be given the opportunity to work in an industrial
environment as part of their training, and every effort will be
made by student services to help the student obtain full time
employment.
BASIC WELDING PROGRAM
DURATION: 42 WEEKS
PREREQUISITE: grade 12 or equivalent
This program is designed to prepare the student to enter the
workforce with the necessary skills to become productive as a
skilled welder. The course has a duration of 42 weeks, which
consists of both classroom (theory) and shop (practical)
complemented with 4-6 weeks of field training with a fabrication
company.
SPECIALIZED COURSES:
GAS TUNGSTEN ARC WELDING
(GTAW OR TIG)
DURATION: SIX WEEKS
PREREQUISITE: Journey person status or have at least five years
welding experience. Candidates should have or have held tickets
issued by the Dept. of Labor or CWB.
GAS METAL ARC WELDING
(GMAW OR MIG)
DURATION: SIX WEEKS
PREREQUISITE: Journey person status or have at least five years
welding experience. Candidates should have or have held tickets
issued by the Dept. of Labor or CWB.
