Four telephones in the SCT series are enclosed in steel enclosures which are weather proof, dust proof and corrosion resistant. The Model SCT-20 has meet environmental guidelines as set forth by the United States Department of Defense, specifically MIL-STD 810E. (environmental). These telephones are designed for and used in applications such as mines (hard-rock, potash, etc.) whose environments may be dusty, wet, or very humid.
Three telephones in the WTT series are housed in polymer enclosures with spring-mounted doors. Units are weather proof, dust proof and corrosion resistant with or without their doors being closed. These telephones are designed for use in weather-exposed locations and can resist rough use. These telephones have been tested for use between -50 to +50 C and offer features such as memory dialing, redial, muting, volume adjustment, and so on.
