COMPANY PROFILE:
GEC Architecture is a Calgary-based architectural, planning, and
interior design firm, celebrating 40 years in 2006. Since 1966, GEC has completed over 1,350 buildings, in addition to numerous planning studies and functional programming and interior design commissions. Projects throughout western Canada, Ontario, the United States, China and Russia have ranged from single-family housing to large-scale recreational, commercial, institutional and industrial work.
GEC Architecture has designed several complex, one-of-a-kind
buildings, and through this experience has earned an excellent
reputation for design, technical expertise and project
administration. The firm has received a number of awards for
design and engineering originality. These projects require the
design team to approach a task with an open mind, participate in
intensive conceptual thinking and formulate definitive solutions.
The team also applies state-of-the-art knowledge of the building
sciences to develop unique solutions to technical problems.
