Team-building Creative Problem-solving For Teams
1-Day Workshop. TEAM CREATIVITY. IMPOSSIBLE, you say? Not so!
Using a framework specifically designed to tap both sides of the
brain, your team can accomplish amazingly innovative results for
a situation currently ``on your plate``. This workshop is ideal
for those who lead or contribute to a team that must find
solutions to problems. You will first review the six stages of
the classic problem-solving process. Then you will learn how to
make decisions differently at each stage. The creative process
presented here has been proven over the last 50 years by a number
of leading edge organizations in application to challenges around
new product development, transition management and business
growth. NOTE: Customized facilitation of a creative thinking
process is available for intact teams that require assistance in
tackling a specific challenge.
Team-building Facilitation
Fulcrum will work with your intact management group, project
team, or self-directed work teams to address specific team
challenges and develop: a commonly accepted mission and vision,
desired results, group behaviour guidelines, key performance
standards, interaction processes to help your team achieve
greater cohesion, alignment with the organization, and improved
performance.
Leadership, communications and trust issues may also be
addressed, as appropriate. The facilitator will first meet with
the manager/team leader and, in some cases, may recommend
completion in advance of a team survey questionnaire along with

IN PROGRESSIVE ORGANIZATIONS, matrix and project teams and task
forces are becoming commonplace. These teams have high demands
placed on them to produce results-quickly! They must sort out
their human dynamics early and get everyone aligned with and
committed to the team objectives. We fast-track your ad hoc team
to high performance by spending just one day-at the front end-
getting its process issues sorted out so it can turn its
attention immediately to the task at-hand. Your group will

``TEAMS IF NECESSARY, BUT not necessarily teams`` is the
philosophy of Fulcrum Associates when it comes to shifting to a
so-called team-based culture. Research shows that there are
certain conditions when a team-based approach makes sense and
other situations when it does not. Fulcrum's experienced
consulting resources will work with your top management to
consider such positive key indicators for successful teamwork as
complexity and interdependence of work and processes, potential
to (re)train managers/supervisors for their new role, and current
systems for human resources, compensation, and information flow.
We will then support your steering team in developing a plan and
implementing a team-based approach where it does promise to yield
positive results.
