Established in 1919, Fort Garry Industries Ltd (F. G. I.) has thirteen locations and six additional partner facilities strategically located throughout Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. The Company consists of four operating divisions:
- Aftermarket Parts and Service (AM) 2) Original Equipment
(OE);
- Manufacturing and; 4) Remanufacturing.
1)Aftermarket Parts and Service The AM Division is one of the largest suppliers of truck and trailer parts and service to the transportation industry in Western Canada. Its specialty is in providing unique solutions to maintenance and supply problems for the trucking industry. Its strength comes from its people.
2)Original Equipment Fort Garry's OE division is a major supplier in the new and used trailer and equipment market including grain bulkers, gravel trailers, flat decks, construction, and logging trailers. It is also a well-known truck-mounted equipment house that sells, and services everything from concrete mixers, and gravel boxes to snow plows and street cleaners.
3)Manufacturing Division Fort Garry Fire Trucks is an ISO-9002 certified arm of the Manufacturing Division. It builds fire trucks, custom-built pumpers, aerial ladders, rescue vehicles, water delivery tankers and related fire-fighting equipment for clients around the world. The Rubber Shop is the second arm of the manufacturing division. Besides custom-designed steel and rubber moulded products, it relines hi-rail wheels for railways and makes rubber tarp straps. It also installs rubber liners and remanufactures press rollers.
4)Remanufacturing Division Unmatched consistency and quality make the Fort Garry Remanu- facturing Division a leader in the rebuilding of brake shoes, air brake components and fan clutches. This division is also the only one in Western Canada to completely remanufacture transit/coach brake shoes.
