FOLKUS ATLANTIC was formed in 1991 by a former CBC Broadcaster
and a university professor. The company began producing
educational videos and television documentaries. As multimedia
technology developed, the people at Folkus Atlantic realized that
producing interesting and informative multimedia materials
required the same creative visual and production skills as
broadcast production. In 1994, Folkus Atlantic started production
on its first CD ROM titled 'Time Travel to the Eighteenth
Century'. The product is educational and will let students
experience life in the 1700's. Time travel is being distributed
by Irwin Publishing. The company is now working on Part I of a
CD rom series on Canadian History and two television
documentation.
