FisherCast Global Corporation
FisherCast Global Corporation, founded in 1942, is recognized as a world leader in the technology of small component zinc alloy die
casting and customized small component assembly systems. These products are designed, manufactured, sold and serviced from the company's two divisions - FisherCast and FisherTech.
FisherCast manufactures small precision zinc alloy die cast
components for an international market of OEM's in the
automotive, industrial control, appliance, electronic component,
power tool, hardware and computer industries.
For your small component requirements, FisherCast offers your
company leading edge technology. Using machines exclusively
designed and built by our parent company, FisherCast Global,
FisherCast manufactures small zinc die cast components for
hundreds of applications.
Encompassing an international market of OEMs, these applications
include automotive vehicles, industrial controls, appliances,
electronic components, power tools, hardware, computers and much
more.
It's our unique toolmaking capabilities that provide you with
the assurance of unmatched component quality. Running at high
speeds, our hot chamber, direct injection, automatic die casting
machines produce a component which does not require secondary
trimming or deburring operations.
With this process, FisherCast can meet all your small component
requirements. You have the advantages of:
Complex shapes with close tolerances
Part-to-part consistency
Flash-free, net shape components
Automatic, high speed operation
One-time tool charge
Zinc and zinc-aluminum alloys
Complete engineering services
FisherTech manufactures customized small component assembly
systems using the Injected Metal Assembly (IMATM) process. This
is a specialized die casting process that enables components to
be permanently joined in precise configurations, with close
tolerances and part-to-part consistency.
This process enables small components to be permanently joined
in precise configurations more economically than many
traditional assembly methods. It can be applied to many
different types of assembly, joining not only metals, but
materials as diverse as ceramics, glass, paper, elastomers, and
a wide range of plastics.
The components to be joined are first placed in an assembly tool
which holds them in their correct relationship. A molten alloy,
usually zinc alloy, is then injected into the space between the
components. As the alloy cools, it shrinks, forming a strong,
mechanical lock.
