Technology Profile:

First Nation Network (FNN) is a communications company with a vision & strategy for connecting all First Nation communities across Canada. Through teamwork, economies of scale, and resource sharing, we will deliver a National network which provides significant benefits to all project participants.

The FNN solution is a turnkey offering that provides a complete communications solution to First Nation Communities. In addition to the most advanced technical solutions, FNN is also offering a guided program to ensure the success of your community-driven project. By joining the FNN your community will become an equity partner in the fastest growing and most advanced communications network in Canada. There are dozens of satellite solutions on the market today that can deliver a decent Internet feed for a reasonable price. The challenge most of these 'Internet Only' systems have is in being able to go beyond just provision of Internet and grow into providing more advanced two-way broadband services such video conferencing or tele-health. The FNN satellite solution is 'state of the art', and capable of delivering far more than 'Internet Only' to a community.

When evaluating satellite solutions there are a number of critical questions you must ask, here are just a few of them:

Does your solution have the footprint to connect into communities in the far north or is it limited to southern Canada? Can your solution provide single hop connectivity between all of the communities? Is your solution capable of supporting two simultaneous boardroom quality video conferences? Can your system offer true quality of service garauntee's for voice & video? Does the community get to select the inbound and outbound service speeds and is this capacity garaunteed to us whenever we need it?

The FNN satellite solutions deliver all of the above capability and much much more. If you would like to have a more in depth discussion about the FNN satellite solution contact us to schedule a conference call with our of our network engineers. We would be happy to answer all of your questions.
