Transformers & Transformer Equip, Pts Of Nes, Transformer Oil Regeneration Systems
The ECOIL Regeneration Systems have been specifically designed for the complete regeneration of transformer oil. Although conventional Oil Purification Systems are able degas and dehydrate oil, these system do not have the capabilities to cost effectively remove contaminants such as acids, sludge and other decaying products. The ECOIL system has been developed to cost effectively remove the above mentioned contaminants such as sludge and other decaying product as well as improving colour and oxidation stability. The Ecoil Mobile Transformer Oil Regeneration System(Model RS-M) has been specifically designed for on-site use to regenerate insulating mineral oil in energized or de-energized transformers, as well as on a tank to tank basis. The Ecoil System uses a special blend of Fullers Earth Clay that is permanently installed in a set of columns and the oil is directed through the columns by forced percolation. With the use of these packed Fullers Earth Columns, the Ecoil System is able to effectively remove contaminants such as acids and sludge from the oil as well as rectifying the colour and restoring oxidation stability of the oil. In addition to the Regenerating capabilities, the Ecoil System incorporates a heater, degasifier and a set of particulate removing filters resulting in the complete degasification, dehydration and filtration of the oil. Optional heavy-duty heater is provided for desludging of transformer. The Ecoil System is able to consistently regenerate the used and deteriorated transformer oil to a specification that surpasses all ASTM and IEEE specifications/standards. One of the many unique features of the Ecoil System is its ability to reactivate the same clay up to 300 times before the clay is exhausted and disposed of as non-hazardous substance. During the circulation of a nominal quantity of deteriorated oil, the clay beds become progressively saturated and their efficiency drops off to the point that justifies the reactivation of the clay. With the simple push of a button, the reactivation of the clay is carried out within the clay columns. The reactivation process is fully automated and enables the system to process oil again and again using the same clay. Since the clay can be re-used, Filtervac is able to offer a high grade of Fullers Earth Clay that allows for the oil to be regenerated to a specification that cannot be consistently matched by any Conventional Fullers Earth System. In addition it has been recognized that after the initial reactivation of the clay, the clays adsorptive capacity is enhanced and provides better results than virgin Fullers Earth. In essence, the Ecoil System avoids all complications, costs and performance issues associated with typical oil processing units.

The standard VPH system is designed for processing oils in workshops, in storage tanks or directly in transformers (energized or de-energized transformers). Filtervac offers a variety of flow rates and options to suit every customer's requirements. Optional features offered are conventional Fuller's Earth filter(s) or column(s) for acidity and colour rectification. In addition, Filtervac offers High Vacuum Degasification/Purification System to treat cable oils (Model VPH-C) as well as for many other applications outside of the electrical industry, such as for electronic and radar equipment, vacuum pump sealing oils, brake fluids and refrigeration oils.

Turbine & Hydraulic Oil Purifiers
Studies by Electric Power Research Institute have concluded that over half of the forced outage hours related to bearings, journals and lube oil systems were due to contaminated oil. This contamination comes in the form of free, emulsified and dissolved water and also particulate matter. Since it is often difficult if not impossible to prevent water from entering the lubrication system, it is extremely important to remove the oil before it causes permanent damage. Filtervac offers two (2) types of oil purifiers that remove both water and particles to provide a Total Oil Purification System. Filtervac Vacuum Oil Purifiers (Model VPL) utilize a vacuum dehydration process to remove emulsified and dissolved water from turbine oil as well as fine particulate and gasses. These systems are self-contained, skid mounted and offer a P.L.C. controlled full status control panel for fully automatic operation. These systems come as either a dedicated stationary system or as a portable system for plant wide use with flow rates up to 1200 GPH. Filtervac also offers Coalescer/Separator purifiers that are able to remove free and emulsified water from turbine oil as well as particle contamination. High quality of oil cleanliness is achieved by the use of a series of coalescers, separators and high quality particulate filters. These systems are self-contained, skid mounted, and offer a P.L.C. controlled full status control panel for fully automatic operation. These systems come as either a dedicated stationary system or as a portable system for plant wide use with flow rates up to 100 GPM.

Thermal Oxidation Waste Gas Flares Concealed Flame
Meet the exacting standards of the latest Environmental code with a Canadian designed and manufactured Thermal Oxidation Waste gas flares by Canada's leader in municipal gas flares. The FILTERVAC flare system offer solutions to the problems of odour control, noise and air pollution associated with the safe and complete destruction of the waste gasses produced by municipal landfills and water treatment plants. Although waste gas flares have been around since the 1950's, they had in recent years to evolve from the initial concept of installing a system which would provide a basic, proven ignition to the waste gasses without a great deal of regard to what happens as the burning commences. Today's highly advanced systems provide a 99.9% destruction of gasses which can be environmentally harmful and emit basically only carbon dioxide and water vapours. This is done with a system that achieves the required end result with a barely discernible noise level and at the same time emit no smoke and have no visible flame. The units have to be of a fail safe design whilst being easy to operate and maintain, along with the ability to analyze its own operating systems and proceed with a safe and complete shutdown of itself in the event of a component failure in its system. The need for a reliable system that offers a long life expectancy and the ability to handle a varying range of gas characteristics along with providing for a wide turn down ratio has been the hallmark of the FILTERVAC system over many years. All FILTERVAC systems are custom designed for each application in order to provide optimum performance at minimum cost.

MODEL VDL-511/512: For flow rates up to a max 300 USGPM (depends on a a variety of factors), Filtervac offers a cost effective yet quality duplex filtration system. This Duplex Filter utilizes one(1) Dezurik Three(3) Way that is placed on the inlet side of the system and diverts flow to the respective filter. Check Valves are used on the outlet side of the filter to prevent backflow to the idle filter. In addition, this Duplex Filtration design utilizes unique 511/512 filters that come complete with Y Handle covers. This unique cover assembly allows for filter changeouts to be done without the need for tools. Quick and easy filter changeouts are enjoyed by maintenance staff with this model. Filtervac's unique Duplex Filtration System utilizes two(2) Three-Way HYCOA Non-Lubricated Plug Valves to provide the highest degree of fluid control in a Duplex Filtration application. The two(2) valves are controlled manually by connecting cross member bar(c/w handle) connected between them. When the differential pressure gauge indicates that it is time to transfer flow from one housing to the other, the operator simply actuates, simultaneously, both inlet and outlet valves by turning the handle a 180 degrees. The system is designed to guarantee a 100% flow at all times. The filter housings are designed for 150 or 350 psi pressure rating and are built in full accordance to ASME Code specifications. Various Models re offered to suit and a variety of flow rates.
