Film Tonic Inc. distributes Canadian and foreign feature films
to the theatrical, home video and television markets in Canada.

For the past thirteen years the company has distributed both
critically acclaimed and commercially successful Canadian
movies, such as: Jsus de Montral and Love and Human Remains by
Denys Arcand, Thirty-Two Short Films About Glenn Gould and The
Red Violin by Franois Girard, LEnfant deau (Behind the blue)
by Robert Mnard and La Moiti gauche du frigo (The Left Side of
the Fridge) by Philippe Falardeau. In addition to these great
Canadian films, Film Tonic also has a library of equally
successful foreign films such as El lado oscuro del corazon by
Eliseo Subiela, Fourbi by Alain Tanner, La Fille sur le pont by
Patrice Leconte, Une Liaison Pornographique by Frdric Fonteyne
and Europa, The Kingdom, The Idiots and Cannes Palme dor winner
Dancer in the Dark by Lars Von Trier.

In 2001 FILM TONIC presented more remarkable films including Yi
Yi by Edward Yang, Together by Lukas Moodysson, Le Pornographe
by Bertrand Bonnello winner of the FIPRESCI award at the Cannes
film festival, Mariages by Catherine Martin, a multiple-prize
winner which was selected by the Forum of New Cinema in Berlin
and Un Crabe dans la tte (Soft Shell Man) by Andr Turpin, the
independent Qubcois production with the fastest grossing box-
office of the fall, throughout Canada. It was also presented at
many prestigious international festivals such as Toronto,
Montreal, Bangkok, Santa Barbara and Sundance.

Year 2002 will have just as much to offer with films like
Italian for Beginners by Lone Scherfig which has already
received much praise and has won many prizes from around the
world, 101 Reykjavik by Baltazar Kormakur which was the number
one box office hit in Iceland, Jalla!Jalla! by Josef Fares,
Minor Mishaps by Annette K. Olesen, winner of the Blue Angel
award for the Best European film in Berlin, Karmen, an African
tale by Joseph Ga Ramaka which premiered at the 2001 Cannes
Film Festival and the Dogma film Kiras Reason by Ole Christian
Madsen.

Film Tonic International Inc. exports Canadian feature films to
the international marketplace, has developed strong ties with
foreign buyers and has successfully launched Canadian films all
over the world through festivals, theatres, home video and
television.
