FH Welding Machine Limited was established in 1952 in Windsor,
Ontario. It relocated to Toronto in 1955. It was purchased by
the present owners, Hartshorn & Harper in1981and moved to its
present custom designed and built facility a 44 000 sq. ft.
building in 1987. There are approximately 45 full-time
employees. Areas of expertise include: Mechanical and Electrical
design; Electrical controls assembled and wired on site;
Complete fabrication and machining capability; Robotic and PLC
programming; Dimensional verification; Initial process concept
and budgetary pricing; Product design improvements; Prototype
assembly; System design, build, installation and commissioning;
Support for EC's and process improvements.
Process Development
Processes developed by or in partnership with FH: shock and
strut roll closure, improved piston teflon banding machine,
mastic heat staking, portable electric braze gun, tube piercing,
hot upset assembly of decking pins, hydro-formed tube welding.
The FH Advantage
Competitive pricing through low Canadian dollar, short delivery
lead times, access to North America, technology to compliment
European technology, Canada is a nice place to visit, (Niagara
Falls, CN Tower, etc.)
Future Growth Possibilities
Laser Cutting and Welding, CNC Machining, Hemming Machines,
Complete prototype management, capability, stamping and welding.
Acquisition or partnership with die shop for complete project
capability
