  Esprit static kernmantle ropes are strong, flexible, abrasion resistant and have a great hand--excellent knotability, easy to rig. Our specially designed 3-strand cabled core absorbs energy and reduces impact force when the system is shock loaded. This unique core is also more cut resistant and survives an over the edge fall better than single twist cores, providing the user with greater fall protection. Uniform alignment and tensioning give a smooth rappel. All Esprit colored rescue ropes are staggered with white for a stronger, more durable and drier sheath. The white yarn also reduces the amount of stiffening that occurs when ropes get older. Available in 2 styles:

  ESPRIT STREAMLINE (SL). Certified to NFPA 1983-95 edition, this new generation of static rope is built with a 24 pic sheath for superior handling. Knots are easier to tie and set. Streamline has a higher working elongation and is more forgiving if the system is shock loaded. Excellent for rappelling. Diameters:

  7/16'(11mm) & 1/2'(13mm). Min. breaking strength: 7/16' 7400 lbs; 1/2' 9600 lbs. Colors: white, orange, blue, red, yellow (w/ 2 color stripes).

  ESPRIT SUPPLEJACKET (SJ). Certified to NFPA 1983-95 edition, Supplejacket has a more substantial 16 pic sheath for higher abrasion resistance and less elongation. Ideal for mechanical advantage applications (z-rigs, highlines) and rappelling. Sizes: 5/16'(8mm), 3/8'(9.5mm), 7/16'(10.5mm), 1/2'(13mm, 5/8'(16mm). Colors: white, orange, yellow, red, blue (w/ 2 color stripes).
