Sustainable Building Design: Enermodal provides assistance and direction to each member of a building design and construction team to ensure that a project meets exacting standards for energy and resource efficiency. We are also expert in the use of the following programs: VISION/WINDOW (for the analysis of glazing system performance), SUPERLITE (for daylighting and electrical analysis) and CONTAM (for prediction of indoor pollutant concentrations).

Thermal Analysis Using Frame Computer Program
FRAME 4.0 is a finite-volume computer program with simple graphical input and a wide range of output (temperature distribution, heat flows, U-values) for analyzing thermal performance of building shell components (windows, wall, roofs, etc.). FRAME is part of the CSA A440.2 (Canada) and NFRC 100 (U.S.) Standards for evaluating the thermal performance of windows.

Whole-building Energy Analysis Using Enerpass Computer Program.
ENERPASS 3.1 models building energy consumption for any building for a wide range of mechanical systems and building usage types. User specifies construction details, occupancy and internal loads, and HVAC and water-heating system operations, and the program uses. TMY weather data for a selected location to perform explicit heat-flow calculations and determine annual, monthly, or hourly energy performance, heat flows, zone temperatures, and zone relative humidities. ENERPASS has been used in advanced research projects, energy-efficient building design and forensic investigation.
