Assigned to the Environment Unit as an advisor under the United Nations Development Programme. Responded to day- today demands resulting from local, regional and international issues and requests, protocol ratifications as well as visits of regional and international consultants. Assignments included preparation of the draft Country Action Plan for the Reduction of Ozone Depleting Substances under the Montreal Protocol, development of jet-ski control and heritage conservation/protection legislation, critical review and comment to draft of Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Act, input to health policy and strategic health plan, development of a community-based agroprocessing initiative based on the Neem tree (women-in- development project), investigation of oil spills as part of governmental response team, organization and facilitation of inter-ministerial conferences, input to Organization of Eastern Caribbean States/Natural Resources Management Unit-Coastal Resource Management Initiative, coordination of country submission to United Nations Peace Monument-Rio de Janiero-Brazil, coastal site visits and assessments as well as management of Environment Unit.
