No windmill looks like the Catavent and WindPorts. In fact, as it uses the 3 vectors of the wind, it has a much better efficiency, and allows for power generation with less wind that the conventional wind mills. The Catavent and WindPorts can also be used as a pumping unit, by the simple addition of a pumping apparatus at the end of the main shaft. This makes a simple unit, with fewer moving parts, easier to maintain and with a much longer life span that electrical apparatus
We setup a tecnological show case installation in Montreal in November 2003, and, since March 2005, we have a system installed on the top of the roof of a downtown building in Sendai, Japan
