We develop procedures and courses for and train hospital personnel in operation and maintenance of medical gas piping systems including source units such as oxygen concentrators, medical air and suction source units and manifolds, as well as alarm systems and terminal units.
The survey on existing system involves a report which will detail each medical gas piping system by nursing zone to show in detail what is present, what is required to bring it to current CSA Standards and what priority should be applied to the needed changes. In Canada the survey is based on current applicable CSA Standards and normal safety issues. In other countries, these parameters can be changed to reflect local requirements and conditions.
