Industrial Silencers

Engine Silencers
For the purpose of noise control on engines, it is common practise to use silencers at intake and exhaust for treating the airborne noise. We have detailed various models of silencers in this catalogue that will cover most silencing requirements. Please visit us online @ http://www.silencer.biz

Fan Silencer
Fans normally deliver a large volume of air at relatively low static pressures usually measured in inches of water. The rotating action of vanes produce a broad band noise spectrum however, the noise in mid to high frequency range is heard to be louder and requires to be treated for achieving noise control. Generally, silencers are used at intake and discharge of fan installations for treating air borne noise. Fan silencers usually require absorptive type design as they are well known for better attenuation in mid and high frequency range (500-8000 Hz).

Compressor Silencer
Centrifugal compressors are noisy and require noise control. Just as a pump raises the pressure on a liquid, a compressor raises air or gas pressure. Centrifugal compressor noise is produced primarily by blade-tip turbulance which is a function of horse power, speed, discharge pressure, piping velocities, number of stages of compression, type and number of blades etc.

Vent Silencer
vent silencer or a blow off silencer is a device used to reduce unwanted noise created by gas or steam flow in a pipeline discharging directly into the atmosphere. This noise can be generated due to the high velocity flow through the valve and turbulence created around any obstacle in the line that suddenly restricts or changes the direction of flow such as valve or an orifice. Vent silencers find wide applications in high pressure vents, steam vents, safety relief valve outlets, system blow downs and purge outlets etc.

Noise Enclosure
The control of noise in industry is becoming very important. Increased worker compensation claims involving hearing damage, and the advent of ever-increasing legislative; safety and economic requirements make a noise reduction program mandatory for many industries. Additionally, State, Federal, Provincial, or Local ordinances have been enacted to further protect the communities from unwanted Industrial noise as it migrates offsite. To meet these specific noise reduction requirements
