PRODUCTS:
Our principal lines of equipment, designed, engineered and fabricated at our site are:
EQUIPMENT FOR PANEL GLUING, such as clamp carriers and glue application equipment. This equipment is sold in Quebec since 1983, in Noth America since 1985, in Mexico and Chile since 1988 and in Australia, New Zealand, China and Europe since 1994. PANEL HANDLING EQUIPMENT. Developed and tested in Quebec in 1985-1986, this equipment is now available and operational all over North America. MULTIPLE BORING MACHINES. Developed and distributed by Paul Sicotte & fils, in Sainte-Thrse, Quebec, these machines are in operation throughout the North American continent, since 1967. Doucet machineries Inc. has bought the inventories and the engineering plans in 1989, when this enterprise got into financial difficulties. The design has been improved and we assure the service of the machines in operation as well as the fabrication of this very extended range of products. RESIDENTIAL FLOORING MACHINERY. Developed since 1987, our end-matchers are in operation in more than fifty woodflooring plants on the north American continent. The end-matchers are often installed with the optional infeed anf outfeed conveyors, classifying systems, etc.. Many of our clients have used our layout plans as the basis for their plant setup. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR ROUGH-MILL PLANT SYSTEMS. Over the last couple of years we have submitted and installed equipment to render the rough-mills more efficient, both at the furniture related industry as well as the standard woodworking facilities. FINGER JOINTING MACHINERY. Doucet machineries Inc. has bought the inventories and the engineering plans of the Cadoret finger jointing line when Cadortech closed shop in 1996. We have successfully developed our own line of modular finger jointing equipment, which we introduced to the North American market in January 1997. We will continue to service the Cadoret machines as well. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT In 1994, Doucet machineries Inc. has increased efforts in the Total Quality Management of their products, by installing a structured plan for quality improvement. A quality Assurance coordinator was hired in order to work with an outside consultant on the implementation on the ISO program. In May 1996 we have obtained our ISO-9001 accreditation. RECOGNITION The Economic Development Corporation for the region, COPERS, named our company The Enterprise of the year, in 1988. Doucet machineries Inc. has also been recognized by the Banque Nationale for the region of Drummondville-Bois-Francs by granting us the Gold Laureate for 1995 as well as the Silver Laureate province wide, in the same year.
