Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING provides and coordinates diagnostic imaging (radiologic) services for the Region 2 Health Unit in Southern New Brunswick. The referral centre and primary site in this region is at the Saint John Regional Hospital which is a University affiliated tertiary care hospital.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department is staffed by 10 radiologists with a wide variety of backgrounds and subspecialty training, providing comprehensive radiologic services for the region and acting a provincial in a number of areas. Services provided include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Cardiac Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology as well as standard radiography and fluoroscopy.
Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation, and specifically Diagnostic Imaging is an active evolving organization with academic, research, and patient care commitments. Currently, a strategic alliance with Sterling Diagnostic Imaging (formerly DuPont) is being finalized for development and testing of and integrated Digital Radiology system.
